Preparation Before Doing Sonography
For abdominal sonography it is preferable to come empty stomach for 4-6 hours. Patient can drink water. In case of emergency it can be done without any such preparation.
For pelvis and kidney sonography patient has to drink 4-5 glasses of water one hour before sonography and patient should not pass urine for one hour before coming for sonography.
